I bought it from Lenovo spare parts in Australia. Its advertised as a vodafone card but its not locked. I was told by spare parts that the unlocked FRU is no longer availiable and that the vodafone FRU is unlocked. How much did it cost to you ? It's exactly the same "case" than in germany ...the la...

On german forums it seems that they can get an unlocked official Lenovo Wwan for 260 € !!! It's very expensive too ...

The 875U (MC8775) is easily unlocked on ebay (around 20$) but I've contacted those persons/shops with an IMEI form Lenovo MC8775 and they couldn't get an unlock code ... it will be the same with the "expensive" dongle !

It does, but the point is different. Short101 has the said modem and when he takes the miniPCIe card out of it and puts it into his T60, the machine will boot even when no BIOS modifications are present - but it will not work. The WWAN LED lights up, after few seconds goes dark and the OS does not ...

I suppose that your MC5725 is a lenovo one but that it was note made for T60 ? and that's not locked ?

If it's correct then it's normal that the FN + F5 works because the card is from lenovo ... if it's a generic card it's a great news !
