T43 wont turn on

when i plug the ac adapter in the battery light is green for a second but then instantly turns yellow, when i press the power button, nothing happens

Did you try unplugging the PSU, getting the battery out and pushing the power button for a couple of seconds, release it, push it again (like ten times) and a last time for 30 seconds? Then connect the PSU and push the power button.

Second: take out the battery.
Third: press the power button for ten seconds.
Fourth: repeat step three 8 more times
Fifth: press the power button: for 30 seconds.
Sixth step: plug your power brick and try to power it on.

still doesnt power on, just gives me a green light on the battery indicator

i think its an issue with the keyboard, ill buy a new one and then see if it boots

You can try jumping the conector with a screwdriver, look it up in youtube.

Were you working on the laptop and removed/replaced the hard drive?

I've discovered with T4x's that if the HDD is almost but not quite seated correctly, the laptop will play dead and refuse to power on at all.

i did remove the hard drive and put it back in again, ill try putting it in better

i have put the hard drive in correctly, still nothing, also i cant short the pin because i cant get to it

Take out the HDD(It may be dead or placed incorrectly) and short the pins with a flathead screwdriver. The pins are inside the connector but still reachable.

Well if you have a battery installed the battery LED should do its thing (yellow if the battery is charging or dead, green if it's almost charged or charged). if your motherboard isn't even going that far then a new keyboard certainly won't help you much.
