Upload full DSDT somewhere. It's hard to check what's wrong without seeing full code.

If the beginning of your dsdt.dsl is like this :

Code: Select all

ACPI Error (dmutils-0261): Argument count mismatch for method \_SB_.VWAK 3 1 [20080926]
ACPI Error (dmutils-0261): Argument count mismatch for method \_GPE.VBRE 2 1 [20080926]

Just remove the lines before the "/*"
Then your file will start to compile (and then you may find other errors ...)

Yong:

The system specs posted is from your Lenovo W510 running hackintosh?
Yong/Silencer:

Can any of you tell me that by looking into the System Info uploaded by Yong, is everything working? I'm seeing the GPU card name is unknown but atleast it looks like it correctly identifies the VRAM as 1GB and is CI/QE hardware accelerated?

Thanks.

In Snow Leopard you can't tell if QE/CI is working from System Profiler. You need to see if screensaver works, and if Dashboard widgets have ripple effect when you move/add them.

Can you try what Silencer suggested to check for CI/QE? Also, Silencer: I'm curious what Yong is trying to compile and for what reason?

Thanks.

I just got displayport-dp-to-hdmi-connector-adapte today for my w510 to connect to my LG TV. the website is
http://www.buyincoins.com/displayport-d ... -1334.html

it's free shipping to Canada ,the price is $8.69 US dollars. if add coupon sonyhdr12 ,you can get 5% discount.

In win 7 I press FN+F7 can switch to TV ,the video and sound both are all on TV ,like HDMI. But It's weird , I restart windows ,the windows stuck at "starting windows" when the displayport-dp-to-hdmi-connector-adapte connecting in my w510. I enter into the BIOS ,w510 has a setting -----dispaly -----Boot display Device.

1. Thinkpad LCD(default) 3. Digital on thinkpad is displayport. When I choose 3. Digital on thinkpad is displayport .then restart w510 , I can see before windows logon on my TV , w510's LCD is black ,then it logon into the windows ,LCD is on TV is off.

and I try use displayport to display on my TV in Mac OS, nothing happened ,I try to use FN+F7 ,the Mac Snow stucked ,even mouse is not working .

By the way I saw the ripplle water on my Mac OS , but using VCLto play movies , the videos is a little fast , and the sound is poor.

sorry about my poor English ,hope you guys to understand what I mean.

displayport 's problem is solved I just choose the second 2. anolog (VGA) in BIOS ,everything is ok now.

I test the movies , if I use Itune to play 720P mov .Both video and sound are good ,but using quicktime , picture and sound are not synchronous. Using VLC videos are way too fast and this cause the sound are very poor. SO this maybe player's problem. Anyone can recommend me which video player in Mac is the best? I can't use internet on Mac making things hard to be solved.

In Snow Leopard you can't tell if QE/CI is working from System Profiler. You need to see if screensaver works, and if Dashboard widgets have ripple effect when you move/add them.[/quote]

I just tested them ,both are working on my w510 for sure ,so QE/CI is working on my w510?

Yong/Silencer/others:

Very helpful guys. I'm almost close to getting a W510.
Yong: Can you download this to a flash drive on Windows 7 and run this on Snow Leopard? http://www.livequartz.com/site/livequar ... rtz_19.dmg

This app supports Core Image as it should make the GPU work. Please let me know how it runs.

Also, please confirm CI/QE here: http://prasys.co.cc/2009/09/quartz-extr ... w-leopard/
But, Silencer has mentioned that it is not shown on a Snow Leopard. I wanted to confirm from Yong that CI/QE is not software based but should be hardware accelerated. Silencer: please advice.

Also, can you tell me why did you compile dsdt for? I don't understand.

Thanks.

I use VLC and it is fine. I suggest you to google that specific problem (video is too fast in VLC in OSX), most probably it has simple solution. Quicktime is known to be very slow.

To be on the safe side, check screensavers and resolution switching. If they work, video is fine.

Yong:

Did you try my suggestions to check for CI/QE?

Also, was your dsdt compilation successful?

Thanks.

SpeedStep is probably not working correctly, and CPU is running at the lowest frequency.
