How do I turn off the Bluetooth radio? V100

#1 Post by Jackboot » Wed Aug 22, 2007 7:23 am

I just bought a V100 for my girlfriend.

When I press function-F5 to bring up the radio menu, there is only an option to turn off the WIFI - there is NO option to turn off the bluetooth radio! Futher, when I turn off the WIFI using Fn-F5, Bluetooth stays on!

I'm using the latest BT drivers from Lenovo's website with the latest firmware. What is the problem?! Can the user really not turn off BT on the 3000-series notebooks?

For reference, my X60s and X61s both offer the option to separately turn off the BT or WIFI radios.

I got Lenovo 3000 N100, the only way to stop BT is to switch off with the buton that cut all wireless.

It's possible to stop it with the Bluetooth setting from the control panel.

Its a bit cumbersome, but you can turn bluetooth off without losing wireless.

Right click on the bluetooth icon in the taskbar. Select advanced configuration. Click on the hardware tab. Select your device. Click disable. :). Now your bluetooth icon should turn red but the wireless should keep working. To enable do all that in reverse.
