Sometimes after boot up the system seems to be running fine then the screen goes off and I can't get it to come back on unless I do a re-boot.
Any one else have this problem?
I am running Vista on a T60

On several occasions not long after boot up on vista I get the blue error message screen which states
DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

which then requires a reboot and then is usually working fine.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix this problem?

I have a samsung blackjack phone and have Windows mobile device centre installed, but can't get the two to sync via bluetooth. I'm having difficulty getting the T60 to recognise the phone.
Can anyone help?

Strange thing today I spotted a dead pixel on my screen, I've never noticed before. It showed up against a dark background and stayed in the same spot when scrolling down the page on several pages.
Then all of a sudden it has disappeared.

I think the screen on my T60 is a bit dull and washed out compared to my monitor, is there any way to adjust the colour and contrast levels?

How do I reconfigure my fingerprint scanner?
Is there a way to turn off the screen while leaving the laptop running?

never really used the Fn until now

The wifi switch on the T60 turns on both the wifi and bluetooth at the same time. I don't use the bluetooth so is there anyway to turn it off without turning off the wifi?

I have managed to uninstall the Soundmax driver and then rebooted.
But nothing happens, how do you get windows to install window drivers?

I have disabled the soundmax driver, so how do I get windows to handle the sound?
When you disable the soundmax drivers it disables the silver volume buttons and the OSD.

checked on mine in vista, but mine was already set to max, so even turned up its still weak. There was also a volume adjustment for the cd player but it made no difference

I have T60 1.83 dual core running vista with 1GB ram, I'm thinking of upgrading the ram, I can't decide whether to install a 1gb or 2gb memory. Would 2gb make a big difference over a 1 gb upgrade?

Is there anyway to turn down the fan noise on a T60?

Just checked my T60, and it has the rubber dampers.
so i'm happy.
nevertheless I still think the larger keys such as the space bar and return are a bit rattly

Is there a way to check whether my T60 has the WXGA or WXGA+ screen resolution?

I have recently purchased a T60,
When I set the screen brightness levels using the Fn+brightness button the screen adjusts and displays the OSD level,
however each time I turn off the laptop the brightness level resets to the maximum level,
Do I need to save the settings?
