There are two seems inside of the sleeve, holding the bag sides together. You can't miss those, they are all way down the bag. The top-end of those seems is the most scratchy area. I guess you could avoid that scratching if you slide the Thinkpad carefully enough inside of it or as another member su...

Dont get me wrong, it is nothing like a deep profound scratch. But it is a thin yet recognizable scratch about 10inch. I tried to reduce it with a dampened cloth, which reduced the effect somwhat, but the bitter taste stays. And so does my Thinkpad out of the sleeve. I already wrote to booq a...

Booq Powersleeve scratches the T-Series Surface
I received the Powersleeve and after sliding my T42 inside of it 2 or three times i recognized a long scratch on the T42 surface along the whole case. It is a result from the seam inside the sleeve. It is the seam from the exterior seem. This is obviously a profound design flaw, at least if using th...

Maybe you could calculate it through on their webpage, since i dont have exact size, weight of the items. My ZIPcode in Germany is 80687. I now received my Powersleeve. The thickness is very good, the laptop will be well protected in there.Unfortunately with my T42 14" it moves a bit around in the bag, the bag is not fitting perfectly. Thank you for answer. I took the Atheros Card for now (dunno if I or II). I'm planning on using Suse10 and later Gentoo when there's time. I think its good to have also the a-band (5ghz) since i read a test, that walls do better shield the rays if you are a fanatic. Search REFLEX Studie which was ma...

2200bg vs atheros abg internal miniPCI
Hi! Anyone knows whats better for Linux, the intel 2200bg or the atheros abg miniPCI chip?
Better means
a) higher reception distance
b) lesser net losses
c) easier to configure
did i miss something?

I have the chance to get an Atheros Wifi Card against the build-in Intel 2200 Wifi in my T42. What do you think is better/easier (for Linux) ?

Do you have a Finger Print Reader? Is the fan noise acceptable.. ? :?: It's 100% quiet ;-) Read my post above. No FPR. You can buy a USB FPR on stores anyway. Cool, thank you for your replies. Ok i read a lot more threads now and i sum up: The T42 is cooler, thus less noise level. But - getting a "silent" Thinkpad is pure luck. It depends on: - Bus-System/Speed of machine - Form Factor (14/15) - Build Date - Quality of Fan - FPR ?? (really?) So, i am getting a T42 w. FingerPrintReader now...
