can i upgrade some old Garmin Gps screen to something bigger somehow if the newer screen has the same connector and voltage or smth? the old one has somekind of 1-67 pin thin ribbon connector, but i dont even know if its somekind of TTL, serial rgb or what, and dunno if it even has a Wled backlight ...

it probably didn't blow any fuses, but how can somekind of black dust/grease get into the back of the screen? (there are some weird black/gray spots inside the screen that do not look like any pixels at all)

some w500 has "93" written on the frame itself(don't know if it's original or replaced or what), but is that "94" some new version then or smth?

i also got some "nv4_disp" Bsod on the first boot, but only "memory parity check" errors after that. and now i tried the upper memory slot also - 2gb stick gave 1331 error beep, but still booted after that into some message that i did not have time to read and 2nd stick gave 1331 and 1411 beep error...

well... could there be something wrong with the screen or inverter or smth? i plugged an external monitor into the Vga port and then was able to get into Bios, but first it didnt even have the full list of options... no, i was just thinking that if t61p(or any other) had a brighter screen, then you could just plug that in as-is? (just to get better brightness, but not ips etc if you dont need that)
