It's scheduled for second half of the year, at least that's what recent inquirer says about intel roadmap(http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28861). i suspect we will have to wait about 3-6 months for merom based thinkpads after intel's merom announcement.

Anyone remembers timelines oft40/ t42/t43?

i'd sell t42 now, invest money and wait for merom-based t61 or whatever it will be called . [hopefully] by that time lenovo will polish all the annoyances people will find in t60.
