It's scheduled for second half of the year, at least that's what recent inquirer says about intel roadmap(http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28861). i suspect we will have to wait about 3-6 months for merom based thinkpads after intel's merom announcement.

Anyone remembers timelines oft40/ t42/t43?

i'd sell t42 now, invest money and wait for merom-based t61 or whatever it will be called :). [hopefully] by that time lenovo will polish all the annoyances people will find in t60.

Hmm. is it really 60%? Are/Were there non-flexview 15" lcds? Where did this number come from? Put flexview on 14.1 sxga screen plz! Nothing wrong with that as an option, but I hope they don't make it standard. The 15" FelxView screen draws ~60% more power than the same size non-FlexView unit. To me ...

Don't really understand all these design decisions... T43 is near perfect notebook as it is. For external - remove lpt port or replace it with dvi(com port for me), put flexview on 14.1 sxga and more recent ati card. improve battery. S-video is really big loss for me, since outside of work notebook ...
