Since that is not a Hitachi or IBM Travelstar, will it still work for my T22?

Yes, it will work. I've used Seagates and Fujitsus on a couple of T2x with no problems.

Buy.com is selling the Seagate Momentus ST94811A for $72.50, a good price for a drive that performs very well in head-to head tests. If you sign up for their no-fee Buy.com visa card, you'll get a coupon for $30 to apply to it, bringing your price down to $42.50 for the drive. I'm doing this to upgrad my T22. The drives go in and out of stock, so if you miss it, wait a week and it will be back in.
