Thinkpad 701Cs complete original box 40 megs ram 4 gig, etc
For sale on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1088569824
This has all new system boards from old stock so CMOS is dead.
Would sell to a thinkpads.com member for $315 with Midwest U.S. shipping included, as always would prefer to trade.

Re: Thinkpad 701Cs complete original box 40 megs ram 4 gig,
These are great collectors items!!!
You can enjoy looking at it for years and have fun using it and probably resell it at a profit if you keep it in good condition. Not many hobbies that you can do something like that.
This reminds me of collecting american muscle cars in the 70s and 80s... I made some nice money parting them out but today I wish I kept many of them complete as they are selling high enough to buy a house in many cases. Unlike most computers, something like this will never be worthless.
Good luck with your sale
ps. unless you're looking for a fast sale you may be better listing it as BIN with "best offer" option, that way you can leave it up for a month at a time instead of only a few days. Rare items like this may not find the right buyer in the typical auction format, but sooner or later someone will snatch this baby up, no doubt!!! and thanks for offering it to forum members at a reduced price, very kind of you.
pps. one last thought... I've done business with hwattys on several occasions and would highly recommend him, as would most of our regulars here.

Re: Thinkpad 701Cs complete original box 40 megs ram 4 gig,
There are a couple other auctions pending on eBay for the 701C model at lower prices right now if anyone is looking for one of these. Frankly I cannot recall any time in recent memory when there were 3 of them up on ebay at the same time. I am also of course open to reasonable offers and I do have one other 701Cs that does not include the peripherals. I am going to wait until the current round of auctions closes to decide what to do with it.
