WTB: Windows 7 Ultimate DVD
WTB: Windows 7 Ultimate DVD
Hi Folks,
I have a need for Win7 Ultimate (with SP1 if possible) since I need BitLocker. I have a work machine with Win7 Enterprise (with BitLocker) that I use a portable HD with BitLocker enabled.
I am looking to purchase one from a forum member.
I am looking for a valid license/DVD please.
Thank you,
John

Re: WTB: Windows 7 Ultimate DVD
Those are hard to come by these days. When I had the opportunity to get Windows 7 Ultimate I passed in favor of Win 7 Pro.
Re: WTB: Windows 7 Ultimate DVD
I think Vista Ultimate will work which I have available for $30 with COA.
I believe I have the Win7 ultimate disc, but don't have any COAs for it. I also have Enterprise, but again no licenses.
If the need is just to access your data you could install vista as a second operating system. The disc is updated with SP2 and once updated Vista is a very stable OS, not much different than 7 and a lot cheaper. The business edition (equivalent to Professional) is only $20.
I'll let you know if I can find you any licenses for Seven Ultimate

Re: WTB: Windows 7 Ultimate DVD
I sell software as my job. Forget Windows 7 Ultimate unless you want to cough up a couple hundred bucks. There are lots of copies of Vista Ultimate, however, for reasonable prices ($30-50). And like TuuS said, Vista Ultimate with service packs is a lot like 7.
