For sale are a ThinkPad T42 and T61, both on hand.
The T42 is as follows:
Type 2373-9ZU, Serial Number 99-78PGW, Date Code 04/08
The default specs for this type are as follows:
P M 745, 512MB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HDD, 14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon 9600, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner, IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ether, UltraNav, Sec Chip, 6 cell Li-Ion Batt, WinXP Pro
It currently has 1536MB of RAM installed, and nothing in the Ultrabay slot. The battery appears to be in good condition.
The T61 is as follows:
T61: Type 8892-02U SN: L3-B2977 Date Code: 08/02
The default specs for this type are as follows:
T7500(2.2GHz), 1GB RAM, 100GB 7200rpm HD, 14.1in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 9c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro
It currently has 3072MB RAM installed, and an HDD Ultrabay with another 80GB 5400RPM HDD inside. The battery appears to be dead.
All hard drives will be wiped. It's my understanding that the SXGA+ displays are valuable commodities; however, the date code on the T61 makes the board undesirable due to nVidia failing to manufacture their chips properly.
Any pictures are available upon request. I own a P53, but I'm unfamiliar with these older machines and want to find them a home where they'll be put to good use. I'm looking for $50 for each of them. I'm not certain whether that's a good price or not; feedback is welcome if that's too much.
