I bought this to use for Region 3 movies on my T42p, but found a software program that defeats region coding before it ever reaches the OS or the drive (DVDRegionFree+CSS from www.fengtao.com). I forgot all about this drive (never even used it). Makes a cheap replacement for a lost of broken ultrabay slim ThinkPad, or a supplement to a CDRW-only model.

$15 shipped anywhere in lower 48.
