I need a new laptop for general business use, and had been planning on searching out a good condition used T430. But this model is on the outlet and seems a very good deal to me. Would appreciate any thoughts as to whether people agree? Much as I would like a new T series I am struggling to justify the extra cost to myself. Thanks for your help.

Re: Buying advice - outlet L430 GBP 359
I would try posting a WTB thread on this forum, or even looking on ebay for a T430. If you use ebay, make sure you buy from a reputable seller. Buying from the Lenovo outlet is usually a bit more expensive for the equivalent condition and similar spec machine from here or ebay. Also, you do not know exactly what the unit looks like on the outlet. Sometimes Lenovo's condition rating is less than conservative. Other times it is the opposite.
You may also consider getting a higher spec T420. The performance increase from the T420 to the T430 isn't significant, and you get the benefit of the standard layout keyboard. And since it seems that you would use the machine for general tasks mostly, you probably wouldn't notice the performance improvements at all.
