The ThinkPad T470p likely won't get a successor in form of a T480p

A recently released blog-post of a Polish Lenovo-partner confirms this assumption. According to digitmedia.pl, the new models ThinkPad T480, ThinkPad T580 and ThinkPad T480s will be announced at CES and they are going to be available in a March/April timeframe.

this may be related to the new 15w quad core processors from both intel and amd.

While this might mean the won't be announced (digitalmedia.pl actually admits not-knowing and that's that) at CES 2018, this is not yet a confirmation of T480p discontinued. New hexacores are delayed, maybe that's all what it's all about.
