Access to ThinkWiki

#1 Post by samveen » Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:16 am

I've been experimenting with getting the MC7710 to work as automatically on my x230 as possible (using DKMS to build the Sierra drivers), with some build related patches already submitted to Sierra (my work on github, and I probably need to rename the repo).

What I was looking to do was to add all the information that I had into the ThinkWiki, for which I followed the process listed therein (of sending a mail to the administrator). However I still don't have access to ThinkWiki and I'm starting to go hazy on the initial issues I faced and what I did to solve them. Anyone here know anyone out there who can help me with getting the access?

i have three public accounts that i occasionally use to edit the ThinkWiki, as akw doesn't respond to my e-mails or my replies to his twitter feed. in any case, i've sent you the accounts' name and password for you to edit the ThinkWiki.

This is an ancient thread, but if anyone here has rights to edit ThinkWiki, here's one detail to add to this page:

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Supported_Boot_Devices

The 600X can boot from a PCMCIA card (I found a mailing-list message where I reported booting from the 105MB IBM PC Card hard disk in 2002 or thereabouts).

The 760 series isn't on that page at all, it seems. I wasn't able to boot from a 760XL with the PC Card hard disk, although PCMCIA is one option on the Startup menu, but I found someone reporting that that series could boot from a PCMCIA network card, not from a hard disk.
