Buying advice: lightweight Thinkpad on a budget.

#1 Post by devinfriday » Wed Aug 17, 2022 4:10 pm

Hi, I am looking for a lightweight notebook, Thinkpad or not 😉.
Mainly used for watching videos at FHD, Internet browsing, either on Windows or Linux, 8gb of ram minimum, the ability of handling an SSD. Want to buy used with a very limited budget, max 200€.
Which models I have to look for?
Tia.

Hi,
I have stolen a x260 for 105€ shipped, now I can't find the usual pdf with all the fru codes for swapping the lcd and fixing the camera, anyone knows where to find this pdf?
Tia.

Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

The Dell Latitude 7 series notebooks are well made. If you get one with a FHD LCD, it'll probably be an IPS screen.
ThinkPad L14 - 2.1GHz Ryzen 4650U | 16GB | 256GB | 14" FHD | Win11P
ProBook 470 G5 - 1.6GHz Core i5 | 16GB | 2.2TB | 17" FHD | Mint

Hi, the x260 I found is an i3, I found a mb with i5-6200u that report a different fru from the codes in the official parts list, how can it be possible?

I was watching some 7 series also, but they went over 100€ bidded, this x260 require only a better lcd and mobo.
