The odd T23 left arrow key problem I asked help with is solved.
My first conclusion proved correct. For some odd reason, my attempt to learn how to turn on and use the center trackpoint button did in fact seriously tune down the functionality of the arrow key. I tried a restart but it had no effect. I shut down last night and restarted this AM. The problem was gone. Apparantly, a complete shut down (complete hard drive stop & RAM memory flush) and restart is needed when this bug occurs.
I wondered about the cause and suspected it was software caused as the key worked well in Windows (2000- SP2) popup windows but not in programs or internet site text editors.
My left key worked but it took a firm press and hold & there was a short delay. The left key is now back to its "factory spec" sensitive functioning!
