I'm currently using Acronis True Image 8.0 as a backup tool, cloning the HDD of my X31 to another HDD of the same size in the Ultrabase X3. Works great, very happy with the software.
I recently got an offer from Acronis to upgrade to True Image 9.1 and get Universal Restore bundled with it. The promises of Universal Restore sound great on paper. Could I really restore - say - an X60 SATA drive to an ATA drive of the same size, put it in my X31 and have it working, despite the different hardware? Anyone actually using it?
