Anyone have a small thinkpad-matching portable printer?
I wouldn't mind just b&w printing. Main concern is that it's portable. Also it being quiet might be a factor I would prioritize.
Experience with portable printers? recommendations?

I haven't personally owned one, but from what I've heard it's just not worth it. Overpriced, breaks easy, and still a hassle. I haven't heard anyone with one that was "satisfied".
From everyone I've talked to who needed that functionality, Kinko's and other print shops are a much better deal.
Do you really need to have it with you? Or just want to print on the road? May want to look into one of those services... might be a better approach.
Perhaps someone else here knows someone (or themselves) had a good experience with a portable printer.

Hi,
I have an old brother MP-21C printer that I purchased on ebay about 2 years ago. It prints in B&W and color. It runs off the PCMCIA slot no other power and will run on XP with the following link insructions.
But as the other post suggest these little units can be difficult.
I have learn to use it only in an emergency. Mike.

You can buy them cheap off eBay.
HP printers are good and cheap to run as you can easily refill the cartrages. DO NOT buy newer Canon printers as they have chipped the cartrages and they can not be refilled also Canon go out of their way to cripple their new drivers so they will not work on older hardware.
