Hello
I know Lenovo T61 has a 9.5mm IDE DVD drive.
What other models are fitted with 9.5mm thick IDE DVD drives ?
Is there a list which models use it ?
(Older IBMs are usually fitted with bigger 12.7mm IDE DVD drives.)
Take a look at our

9.5mm thick IDE DVD drives ?
Re: 9.5mm thick IDE DVD drives ?
Whoops, didn't notice you said "DVD drives".
Since you are talking about the Ultrabay, then the answer is rather simple.
9.5mm Ultrabay is known as "Ultrabay Slim" and was used by T4x/T6x generation as well as X4x/X6x Ultrabase and Z60t/Z61t.
The 12.7mm is known as Ultrabay Enhanced.

Re: 9.5mm thick IDE DVD drives ?
Ok. I checked T61: UJ-862(=multiDVD) and it hasn't got the correct connector.
I need a CD or DVD drive that has a JAE-50 IDE connector(Female)
- I have one drive: UJDA760(mfg.2005) but it is 12.7mm thick.
Did they ever make a 9.5mm thick JAE-50 IDE drive ?
Or are all 12.7mm thick ?

Re: 9.5mm thick IDE DVD drives ?
I'm having a hard time remembering if there was ever a Thinkpad IDE DVD drive that has the standard JAE-50 connector.
My answer is "yes", because the one in the T61 is a custom model with a proprietary connector, which means that it's derived from a base model that has a standard JAE-50 IDE connector.Did they ever make a 9.5mm thick JAE-50 IDE drive ?
In other words: they do exist, but not inside Thinkpads.
