So I purchased the Wifi II card, hoping to see better range then my Intel 2200. Right now, my range seems to actually be worse, but I was wondering if using non-IBM drivers might give me a bit of a boost. Does anyone here use generic Atheros drivers with the Wifi II card, and if so, which ones? Has anyone compared the IBM drivers with the Atheros ones?
If I cant get better range out of the Wifi II, it is going back, because the power consumption is definitely greater than with the 2200 b/g card.
