Windows 2000 - password resetting

Hello,

I recently got 2 Transnotes, and both still have their Windows 2000 Professional installations on their hard disks. Unfortunately, both have an admin password, so the usual safe mode -> command prompt -> netuser bypass isnt working for me.

I know that I have used bootable tools in the past to get past XP passwords, but unfortunately I dont have a good one that works with 2000. UPDATE: It seems the reason its not working is because the Transnote cant boot from USB.

Can anyone recommend how I should go about resetting the passwords on these Transnotes? Thanks!

Solved!

Put the drives into my T43p, did the USB booting stuff I needed, and it all worked. Obviously didnt boot to windows on the T43p (BSOD on startup) but the USB did fine, and was able to complete my regedit work.
