If you have lately attempted to patch the Thunderbolt Firmware on one of the infamously affected models as described here https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/soluti ... s-thinkpad, you may have encountered errors preventing the firmware flash. This seems to be caused by an incompatibility in the latest version of the PM Device driver.
Installing this older version of the driver corrects the issue and permits flashing the Firmware: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n3aku12w.exe
