What games have you tried with "Intel 950"

#1 Post by LasseFJ » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:59 am

Hi, this is my first post as I've just bought a new Z61m!!

Allthough I didn't buy my IBM for games, i would like to know what games can run acceptable with the Intel GMA 950, and i'd like to hear it from someone who's actually tried it out with the GMA 950.

My definition of "run" is a framerate equal to, or above 25fps

Here's a list of officially supported games that i found, but as i've typed, i would like to hear it from someone who's actually tried it 8)

Solitare just SCREAMS! I'm hoping to beat it some day so I can move on to something else.

Seriously, I have no idea. I just took an extra Vicodin this afternoon and have the urge to type! I'll ask around though and hopefully get you a serious answer.

Anything from Jay is Games should run on your notebook. The site is ideal for casual gamers.

I was a Solitaire addict for about a year. For the One Draw game, my best time was 55 sec!

I'm not a big gamer, but I was able to play GTA:SA on medium settings and Doom 3 on low-medium settings just fine on my X60s.

I can't stop, and I'm in college right now...so I play all the time. Draw Three, 49 seconds. I've gotten it twice in the last week :P. Someone here has to have gotten better than that, though!

#7 Post by LasseFJ » Tue Jan 23, 2007 7:18 am

Well, what kind of specs does the x60 have? I recon it's more than a GMA 950 ...

I don't really believe that you actually ran GTA: SA or Doom 3 even on lowest setting.... because I just tried out Company of Heroes, and that game was unplayable.

That kind of sets the expectation bar.

Ars Technica reviewed the x60 (GMA 950 graphics) a while back:
