T40 built-in speaker problem

hi,
I have T40 with dual OS (Linux & Win XP). My sound card is perfectly fine but since last few days, I haven't heard any sound from my laptop speaker. However, it works with the headphone. I have figured out that there's some problem with my speaker but could not identfy what.

I need suggestion from you.
