Get a T series. If you have plenty of cash to throw at your new computer, I'd buy a new T42. If you are looking to conserve money, well, don't expect anything with what you want, but you could get close with a used T30.
The X series is also pretty good if you don't mind having the removable media drives in an external enclosure.

my x31 has a built in cf slot on the side. so if you are shooting higher end camera's with either a microdrive of cf card you can plug it right it.
also the x31 is ultra portable so it will not weight yourstuff down,
but requires and external optical drive if you need to burn to cd.
and ibm's are a snap to upgrade...

High resolution and bigger screen is very usefull, but for ordinary photoshop working you do not need any gpu-power, cause even the high-end tl2 supports no hardware alpha for photoshop.Anonymous wrote:also depends if you will be doing any massive amounts of photo editing (eg: PhotoShop) on your computer... in which case, T42's independent video processor & independent video memory would come in handy (as would a bigger screen).
