T61 14.1" 1440x900 WXGA+ screen replacement options

I have a ThinkPad T61 with a 14.1" 1440x900 WXGA+ screen. Everything in the laptop is original except for the motherboard which I replaced when the original NVS 140M motherboard failed. I replaced it with an Intel graphics motherboard and it's been fine as it's not my primary PC anymore.

The screen has dimmed over the years naturally and am curious what are the options for screen replacement? I read about the LED upgrade option, but it seems to be a big hassle and I'm not even sure if these custom kits are still being offered seeing that this laptop is pretty old now.

I definitely do not want to downgrade to a lower resolution screen, so any replacement would have to be for an equivalent 1440x900 WXGA+ screen.

I am hopeful new screens are still available, I don't want a used screen as who knows how much life it would have left.

Slightly unrelated, but if I recall correctly when I bought this PC, Lenovo was only offering a webcam as an option with the lower resolution 1280x800 WXGA screen. If you chose the 1440x900 WXGA+ screen, the webcam was no longer an option. Anyone know why and if that changed? I got mine in early 2008.
