Does my T60 support 10-bit color?

I have a ThinkPad T60 with a 15" SXGA+ (1400x1050) screen and a ATI X1400 128 MB GPU, running Windows XP. Does this support 10-bit color?

The reason I ask is because I'm comparing its video quality with a newer HP ZBook G2 laptop with DreamColor screen that I have. On the T60, dark scenes in a video look fine. On the ZBook, the exact same video file, using the same VLC media player, looks terrible with dark scenes because of banding problems.

I'm trying to get the Nvidia Control Panel on the ZBook to increase from 8-bit color to 10-bit color, but the Nvidia software won't do it for some reason. But is that even the problem? The video looks fine on my T60, so is my T60 using 8-bit color or 10-bit color?

I am pretty certain the Thinkpad flexview is not a 10 bit panel, have a look at this thread with a similar topic:

I would say the video quality difference probably comes down to different video settings in the Ati vs Nvidia control panels on the two laptops.
