Looking for info on the quad core mod for the t61

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in a forum for information, sorry if I'm not doing it right.
I'm looking for information on the Quad Core modification for the Thinkpad t61 since I bought one recently and I honestly love this laptop and I'd like to give it some more power and lifespan.
I've already searched for information on the forum and found some pretty useful information but some of the explanations are a bit technical or maybe I don't have experience in these modifications, I also noticed that the information is from a few years ago.
Sorry if I'm asking too much but I was wondering if anyone still has knowledge or the steps or information on this type of modifications, also what tools would be necessary since I only have the basics, nothing too advanced.
I would really appreciate the help, from what I've seen they are pretty knowledgeable people on this subject and it makes me very happy that we all continue to enjoy our great Thinkpads.
