T61p warranty repair for system planar
here's my problem:
The GPU overheats and causes video stuttering issues and also causes the laptop to shut down without any warning. The GPU temperature peaks at around 97 C.
I have a one year warranty and I'm considering getting the planar replaced if possible. I've never dealt with Lenovo support before so how would I go about doing this?

Call 1-800-426-7378. Have your machine type and serial number ready.
They should send you a box. Call the number they give when the machine is boxed up. They'll have someone pick it up, fix it, and ship it back.
Keep all the parts you don't need fixed. In this case, I'd remove the hard disk, optical drive, memory and any cards you have installed. Especially the hard drive.

I called them up and they said they'll send in the box soon. they're going to test it and possibly replace the planar, CPU, and/or heatsink.
