I remember going to law school with a Toshiba Portege 3490 (11", 3.4lbs year 2001) and being the envy of the masses. Back then the normal student computer was a 12 or 14" Toshiba Satellite or Dell Inspiron, with the wealthy carrying ThinkPad T20 and T21s.
