buying thinkpads from other than lenovo
buying thinkpads from other than lenovo
if you buy a thinkpad x60 from another retailer such as buy.com and the x60 comes with a 3 year depot warranty. Can you upgrade the warranty with thinkpad protection with lenovo?
I think you can if you send\copy your reciept and send it to them. As proof of purchase. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, you can. Your retailer should be able to do that for you, as well.codek wrote:if you buy a thinkpad x60 from another retailer such as buy.com and the x60 comes with a 3 year depot warranty. Can you upgrade the warranty with thinkpad protection with lenovo?

I am sure you can. After all X60 is lenovo's own made baby product.codek wrote:if you buy a thinkpad x60 from another retailer such as buy.com and the x60 comes with a 3 year depot warranty. Can you upgrade the warranty with thinkpad protection with lenovo?
Just ask the retailer further details on doing that, if not then you better can get in touch with lenovo since you have to pay something in both cases.
