CSS question

Hi!

I use the fingerprint logon.
Can I remove the CSS from the autorun?
(cssauth.exe run from the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/currentverion/run/ )

I dont use any other CSS function.

The cssauth.exe process does a few things. It launches the password manager application and mounts your encrypted drive (private disk). However, it also detects you system state regarding motherboard replacement. If your motherboard dies, the cssauth service will allow you to recover your data by entering a password or passphrase. I wouldn't recommend removing it. Rather, I would disable password manager and private disk by changing the following reg entries:

HKLM/SOFTWARE/Lenovo/Client Security Software/Password Manger
Disable = "1"

......../CSS Configuration
UsingPrivateDisk = "0"
