BE200 WiFi card which is notorious for compatibility issues with older intel platforms is verified to be compatible with W520, provided you are using modded BIOS with disabled white lists.
With 1 gigabit fiberoptic and WiFi 6 router up and down is 650 MB/s. Depending on test sever, and using speed test app, not browser. Again, this is limited by ISP connection and by router they have provided. With proper WiFi 7 router and proper fiberoptic connection speeds should be higher.

Speed test using iPhone 14 MAX Pro also gives similar 650 MB/s up and down, which tells us ISP is limitation. In other words, card is fully working.
Antenna "upgrades" also help. This 8 dBi antenna works well when turned face towards signal, really bad when not facing signal, laying flat, or when lid is closed.
