Just to say hello to everyone!

Thought id post just to say hello and how helpful and friendly i am finding this forum. I bought my t42 around six months ago and have never looked back, at the time i was considering an ibook as it is quite small and 'tough', it was by chance that i checked out ibm - especially as the UK seem to supply a lot less of them. I use mine for university work mostly, im not really what you might call a power user, more a wordsmith +excel, powerpoint, web browsing and dvd watching user. The reason i felt it necessary to post this is because today i was sitting in the library and a guy next to me pulled out his ibook and with a little smug smile on his face he proceeded to type away (his pinky, with ultimate precision, utilised for return taps - have you seen how small those things are!!), i pulled out my t42 - the atmosphere was tense - and just the look of my monolith sitting there waiting to be used made me feel like THE MAN! I swear he blushed with shame! Im so glad i never considered that white playschool toy, i wanted a laptop that functioned perfectly and that could withstand the odd knock, and thats what i have - a tool to be used not an object to be stared at.
