New Tv with all ports

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Tue Jan 02, 2018 12:54 am

I was thinking of getting a new tv and my current tv is a 2008 Sony Bravia 32" LCD 1080p. I've always had Sony tvs and when looking online for a maybe 4K OLED they don't make anything smaller then 50" now. The tv I have now fits perfect on my mini table between my desk. If anything bigger it will not fit. I also heard that 4K has to be at least 60" or bigger to even have a real 4K tv. My other thing is all new tvs only have HDMI and around 4 ports of them. My current tv and use all the ports with my old systems are Composite, Component, S-Video and VGA. I bought all the high end cables for my systems back in the day. But from what I see not just Sony tvs but all brands only do HDMI now, Kind of like the main stream laptops now where there putting 1 or 2 ports on a laptop today.

So are the large selection ports tvs going away like the tube tv and is 1080p being phased out for 4K now and only having a 4K option to select?
