Lenovo LOQ which model is better and newer?

What model is better to go with?

LOQ 15AIX9 12th Gen Intel i5, RTX 3050 6GB, 12GB RAM Model 2024 it shows
Both have a 512GB NvMe
LOQ 15IRH8 13th Gen Intel i5, RTX 2050 4GB, 16GB RAM, Model 2023 it shows

I am thinking the 3050 RTX is a better model but not sure why it has an older CPU. I didn't know they still sell new laptops with 12th gen cpus as we're on 14th gen Core i or the Intel Core Ultra series.

Better is such a subjective word. You listed laptops with older bits and newer bits

Only posting to say, if you are at all interested in doing Davinci Resolve, you'll be wanting/needing the extra 2gb of vram..

IMO GPUs age worse than CPUs. For gaming laptops, as long as the CPU is fast enough, having a better GPU is better.
