Intel 3946ABG on my ThinkPad x131e is not being detected

My ThinkPad x131e came with two wireless adapter cards. A Broadcom BCM4313 and a Intel 3945ABG.

The Broadcom Card is detected by my distro, BunsenLabs Boron, but not my Intel card. I have tried seeing if I switch PCI ports since my motherboard comes with two slots but no fix to its detection. I used the commands "lshw" and "lspci" to see if it gets detected but no result.

What other steps can I take to determine if my Intel card is malfunctioning?

Something is not clear to me - are you trying to use both at the same time? How? Why?

Assuming that you are trying one at a time, and that the 3945ABG doesn't work in the same slot where the BCM4313 works, that would suggest the former to be defective.

If you already put it in a different slot (or even a different machine) and it still didn't work, then it's probably a defective card.
