Carbon X1 Gen6 battery purchase

#1 Post by plympton » Tue May 11, 2021 1:03 pm

I've been burned by aftermarket Li-Ion/Poly batteries having lower than claimed output, and if I go to the trouble to replace the existing battery, it might as well be an OEM or at least very high-quality one.
iFixit sells one for $100. Anyone else sell a recommended replacement?

Someone on Reddit suggested this site. Any reason not to use it?

Duracell is a trusted battery maker.

Encompass is the official, worldwide parts shop for Lenovo.
Warning: they are ridiculously expensive, no matter WHAT you buy!

Resurrecting an old thread. I've looked high and low for a decent 01AV430 for my Gen5 and can't find a Lenovo or an aftermarket worth a darn. After 2 aftermarket attempts that failed, I don't know where to turn. Any suggestions / success stories? TIA.

I have a spare somewhere. It's not new, but it's got at least 80%, or so.
I gave my X1C5 to my sister as a brithday gift. I don't need it anymore.
