W530 Computer Bag Suggestion

#1 Post by LC66 » Tue Feb 26, 2013 7:47 pm

Hello,

Thanks everyone for the great information found on this forum! I just ordered a W530 to replace a 5 year old T61 and had a quick question:

Can anyone recommend a good ballistic nylon computer bag that will hold the W530 and the monster 170W AC Adapter? I have looked a the ThinkPad Business Topload Case and a Targus Zip Thru 15.6" Traveler but it is difficult to tell if it has room for the power adapter.

Welcome to the forum.

While their bags are pricey, they are fantastic (in my opinion) and hand made in San Francisco - WaterField: http://www.sfbags.com/. They likely have one that you'd like, just a matter of if the price is right. I had the sleeve case with flap for my X61, fit it like a glove ad did a great job protecting it when I was out and about.

I have to second the SFbags as I have found them to be outstanding. I have the sleeve with flap plus the D-rings and with the pouch that attaches to the sleeve it holds that charger and wireless mouse when you want to take it along. It also removes when you just want to take the laptop. I have an extra power brick at the office so I prefer the smaller (LOL) sleeve. To carry my W530. Gary and his team at SFbags are the best and their products are the very best in quality.

I use a Bike Messenger bag (take your pick Chrome / Timbuk2 / Manhattan Portage) with a Targus TES004US
