Hi guys,

Have an old W530 - looking to hand it over to a friend so they can do some admin stuff for me. Still a very good machine. One of the palmrest corner has a small plastic chip. Hope to fix it if there is a cheap way.
When I do a parts lookup, the palmrest is: 04X4611 FRUPalmrest(w/FPRholenoCS)noSC; also compatible with 04W6822 or 04W6734

Tried to do an search for the compatible parts (UK based) - there weren't any economic options.

There is a samilar one (no color sensor hole, FP hole): however, the code is slightly off by a digit 04X4612 - https://goo.gl/9AozvY
It looks similar. Except the 3 screw holes underneath the top side of the keypad seems not to match. Are W530 palmrests that different?

(I've bought compatible ones where I had to clip off some plastic underneath the right side of the palmrest / though just wondering if this might be worth doing).

FYI: the T530/T530i palmrests are identical to W530 and can also be used/searched for.

Thanks - might consider grabbing one without the FP reader hole (won't need it really). Though the problem is those palmrests have the plastic holes / though no metal screw hole to secure the the fingerprint reader onto (can't have it loose inside).
