Dear all:
I've purchased this week a Lenovo ThnikPad L16 equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250 processor. Entering the BIOS I can see that it ir an UEFI BIOS version R2UET24W (1.24). The first question is: is it possible to change to legacy BIOS? I've tried to install Debian, but in order to work I need to make a partition for the UEFI, and I would like to work with legacy BIOS, but no with UEFI.
On the other hand, the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250 has SMTP capability and it is activated, but I woult like to disable as I want to work with the real 8 core processot, but not with hyperthreading. The probles is that SMTP diabling is not present in the UEFI BIOS. I fount some instructions for enabling advanced BIOS options in https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/ ... _advanced/, but it does not work for my laptop. Is it possinle to disable SMTP in my laptop?

No, there is no legacy BIOS, hasn't been for a long time.
And no, there is also no Advanced BIOS. If the option is not there, you can't disable it
