T14s Gen4 Intel i7
Looking for pros and cons for the subject laptop. My T460s is getting on in years and I'm shopping for a replacement. I would appreciate comments from anyone using the subject laptop.

Re: T14s Gen4 Intel i7
I'll drop what I know, since nobody has chimed in so far. We deploy a ton of L and T series ThinkPads for our clients. We haven't been buying many 4th gen models since they're so new, but I can share some generalizations...
The latest ThinkPads omit the Ethernet port on many models, most commonly the slim "s" versions. If an integrated Ethernet port matters to you, choose your SKU carefully.
I understand some changes were made between 3rd and 4th gen that make it harder to do keyboard replacements.
AMD models finally began omitting extra SODIMM slots in favor of only soldered memory. This has not been the case with the Intel SKUs from what we have seen. All the same, buy the unit with the most RAM you can afford; chances are whatever memory the SKU you order has will be soldered, and any future upgradeability will be limited to what one SODIMM can add.
Hope that helps a little...

Re: T14s Gen4 Intel i7
By all means try to get a system with a DIMM slot. I don't really like my T14 compared to the X1, but I'll have to admit that it's much more budget friendly to maintain.
Mine is already out of warranty and if I had choosen a model with 32GB, it'll be quite difficult and expensive to get a proper replacement. With upgradeable models you can always buy the RAM separately and transfer it back with a new, more generic motherboard.
Also, I live in Mexico so X1 stuff is super difficult and expensive to switch keyboard languages. You have to swap the entire frame.

For the sake of ecology I donated all my classic Thinkpads.
