Hi All,

I got a new set of Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and I'm trying to connect them to my computer. I was able to pair the device however, it does not seem to see the headphones as audio devices. Sony says the device needs to be compatible with A2DP. Does anyone if the T14 uses A2DP?

Windows 10 and 11 have A2DP. Windows 7 does not and it is difficult if not impossible for a Windows 7 machine to pair for BT audio.

I had it working for less than a week with a BT stack I found on the internet, but for unexplainable reasons it stopped working and I was never able to use BT audio again on that Win 7 machine.

Now that it has Windows 10 loaded once again it works fine.

I really do not know why this codec or driver, or whatever you want to call it was never included in Windows 7. It may be that BT audio was not yet popular when 7 was released. And there was never anything on patch Tuesday to fix it.

If you have Windows 10 or later and it is not working correctly I don't have a solution except to try reloading the BT stack and see if that doesn't correct the problem.
