Is the T16 welcome here?

I was finally able to afford a new, I mean brand new, direct from Lenovo, unused machine. My very first brand new Lenovo/IBM ever except for an Aptiva I bought in '97.
I've never seen a full 16" screen on a laptop so this will be something new for me, but I'm rather excited about finally being able to buy a new Lenovo.
These are the specs and it was a ready-to-ship model. It had everything I required in a laptop plus the touchscreen which I don't need or want, but it was already built and ready to ship so I couldn't delete it without God knows how long of a delay.
Specs as follows:
Processor
12th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1260P Processor (E-Core Max 3.40 GHz, P-Core Max 4.70 GHz with Turbo Boost, 12 Cores, 16 Threads, 18 MB Cache)
Operating System
Windows 11 Pro 64
Graphics
Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics
Memory
16 GB DDR4 3200MHz (Soldered) Upgradeable to 48 GB.
Storage
512 GB PCIe SSD Gen 4 Performance
Display
16.0" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS, anti-glare, touchscreen, 300 nits
Camera
1080p FHD
Fingerprint Reader
Keyboard
Backlit - US English with Number Pad (I will have to see if I can find one in Deutsch)
WLAN
Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 802.11AX (2 x 2) & Bluetooth® 5.2
NB_WWAN
None
Warranty
1 Year On-site
And last but not least, a SIM card holder for internet on the go. Love that one.

I just ordered a Crucial 16 GB stick to up the memory to 32 GB. Memory prices seem to be falling up to the 90's. Unless I'm just used to buying memory for systems that no one uses anymore. Or is it just me being out of touch with modern memory prices???

I also feel memory and storage prices are falling. I always buy Used/Secondhand of reputable OEM brands. I always say the prices will be cheaper next year and they are.

I would have upgraded the internal drive too, but I have an external 2 TB drive on my Dell laptop that will be used on the Lenovo now.
I'm going to end up selling the Dell G3 from 2019.

I'm impressed so far. The build quality is good. Much better than the Dell G3 this machine is replacing. The keys are large with good travel and tactile feedback.
The chassis bottom was rather a PITA to remove in spite of what YouTube videos show about getting into the machine. It all went well though but I much rather prefer separate access doors for memory and HD access.
The screen is large, clear, and bright. It seems to be about the size of the T500 but is much nicer to look at than any of my older T series machines or the Dell. The touch screen is nice for zooming in much like on a tablet or cell phone and I'm glad it did come with it even though at first I was indifferent about having it.
The finish is not unlike the old rubberized coatings of older T series computers, but has a slightly different texture that is difficult to describe. Rather like 800/1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. The photos from Lenovo show the palm rest and surround as black in color, but it is actually a dark charcoal grey color which makes for a pleasant contrast of the black keyboard and track pad. The trackpad is the slickest thing I've ever had my fingers on and has the two red stripes on the left and right buttons that harks back to earlier T series models. The top case is black with a slicker finish than the palm rest.
Aesthetically, it is probably the best looking T series I' ever seen or owned.
It booted properly and I went through the Win 11 setup for a new machine and had no trouble. A nice feature is being able to disable the battery through the BIOS setup for maintenance or hardware removal/installation without having to remove the battery. The battery is automatically re-enabled when external power is applied at the next boot.
The lid and hinges are very sturdy and firm feeling when opening or closing the lid. Like it should feel. I always thought I was going to snap the lid off of the Dell and it feels very flimsy with a lot of flex. There is no flex in the T16 lid at all. It's like opening or closing the lid on my earlier T series systems.
I'd say I got a good one and this is a keeper. I'm very pleased with the job Lenovo did with this system. I hope all of them are as good as this example.

I don't think it needs one with a lighted keyboard.

I'm a bit more attracted to the P1 Gen 4 with its centered keyboard, and I virtually never use the number pad on machines with. Not to say there is anything wrong with T16.

If it doesn't have a thinklight, it's not a thinkpad.

I use it a lot for passwords, credit card numbers, etc. I'm glad to have it rather than jumping around on the regular keyboard numbers. What I am having trouble with is getting used to a US based QUERTY keyboard again after using Thinkpads with a German QUERTZ keyboard for the last six years.

One day, you too will eventually join the 21st Century.

If it doesn't have a butterfly keyboard, it's not a proper thinkpad.

I was able to order the German language backlit keyboard with help from Lenovo for the correct FRU.
Backordered, but expected to ship in mid-October.

I'm trying to identify the model of the MOSFET on the motherboard of a Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 (21BV0090US).
I've already posted about it here:

Maybe someone here can help.
Any help would be much appreciated.
