T14 gen1 ssd woes

I'm on Ubuntu 22.10 only and I've got twice now in a week the read-only error, i.e., everything is suddenly read-only. A fsck repair after reboot "solves" it, but I'm guessing this is just the beginning of the end. What are my options? Can my ssd be helped or is it replacement time? If it's to be replaced, what ssds would you suggest? Is any M.2 from Ebay okay, or should I get something specific? Currently mine's 512gb with 200gb still free.

I would recommend any of the SSDs from SK Hynix. I've been using these for several years now and they are just as fast as the Samsung SSDs. No problems with any of them I've used, whether it's been NVMe or regular SSD drives.
