Been using Lenovo 460 with dock for years.
Monitors are ACER with DVI. Connections, kvm switch box to second pc..
Q.do I need to start all over with new dock? New monitors, kvm upgraded?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum.
New dock - yes. New monitors / KVM setup - not necessarily. A simple HDMI-to-DVI adapter off the dock may work.

If the monitors have a resolution of 1920x1200 or less, then a passive HDMI to DVI dongle will generally work.
My 22" 1920x1200 monitor has two DVI inputs and one Displayport input.
To connect it to laptops or desktops with HDMI ports, I use an HDMI cable + a female HDMI to male DVI passive adapter, similar to
this one. You can also buy a cable with HDMI on one end and DVI on the other, like
this one.
This works because HDMI and DVI are signals-compatible to a certain extent (IIRC up to 165MHz signal rate, which has enough bandwidth for 1920x1200@60Hz).

thank you. Lots of docks.... I'm probably going to get two 4K monitors eventually and what might be the recommended one to get...

T14 Gen3 supports USB-C/Thunderbolt docks only. The Lenovo offerings are expensive:

The advantage, though, is that these connections are mostly standard, so generic USB-C/Thunderbolt docks from third-party manufacturers should work as well. I do not have first-hand experience with any such solutions, though.
