T14 Gen5 AMD, SSD upgrade

I recently bought my first Thinkpad. It's a five-month-old, used T14 Gen5 AMD with 32 GB RAM and a 512 GB Kioxia SDD.
I would like to replace disk to 2TB. What would you recommend? It needs to be fairly fast, but not overheat.
In my version, there is no heat sink plate on the drive.

WD Black SN7100 seems to be a decent SSD with low power consumption (less heat output). Another alternative is the Crucial T500 which is faster, but not as power-efficient.

Thank you.
Interesting SSDs, especially the SN7100.
I also considered the SK Hynix Platinum P41, but it is less energy efficient.

I typically buy used on eBay for better pricing. One SSD is just about as good as the next for general usage in my experience. With eBay you get a 45 day trail period and if an issue arises you can dispute it. The chances you'd lose a dispute are almost zero. The seller usually pays the return shipping too.

I want to buy a new SSD. I am considering my options.
I rarely buy on eBay. Recently, I bought (on eBay) a used 32 GB RAM for my Thinkpad (to have dual channel). It is the same model as the current one.
OEM 32GB 2Rx8 DDR5 PC5-5600B SODIMM Micron MTC16C2085S1SC56BD1 NF
It was almost impossible to find anywhere, and in local shops, a new one was absurdly priced at three times more (than new 32 GB modules from other companies).

The SN7100 looks very good. It has low power consumption during operation. But unfortunately, it consumes 1W when idle. Apparently, it does not enter low power states.
However, I have not found such confirmation among Thinkpad users.

Found a good discussion about the SN7100 on the Framework forums:

One guy actually measured the amperage by using an M.2 riser card, cut out some power wires and put an ammeter in between.

Thanks. Interesting measurements. So it looks like the drive can switch to low power consumption modes. It may also be a matter of firmware version.
