T14 G 3 display upgrade problem

I have a T14 Gen 3 AMD, with a very poor sRGB display (N140JCN - EEL). I purchased a panel with better specs (the N140JCN-GS9), which should've been compatible based on information from panelook (same size, resolution, edp, etc.) . However, upon starting the laptop after installing the panel, no image appears on the display but the keyboard backlight and the fans do start. Originally, I thought I received a defective unit, so I ordered a replacement, but when the second panel arrived, the same issue was still present. I can confirm that the panel is not defective, as when I did the LCD self-test (Fn + Ctrl while powering on), the panel lights up and cycles through colors correctly. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on what could be the issue? Thanks.
